Schedule - during the day:
The carnival afternoon event is all for the children with the ‘Fancy Dress’ competition. The categories include:
- Age 4 and under
- Age 5 – 7 (infant school)
- Age 8 and over (Junior school and above)
- Groups of 2 or more children (any age)
- Carnival Committee Choice
The choice of fancy dress is entirely yours (or mum and dads!) There is no theme and no forms to fill in - just turn up at Bohunt Sports Hall at 12.00pm.
Doors open at 12.00
Judging commencing 1.00
Charge 50p for adults not accompanied by children in fancy dress
There will be children's entertainment with 'Bob the Builder' organising fun & games and 'Jingles the Clown' performing a comedy magic show.
There will also be a variety of craft stalls to browse, homemade cakes and refreshments for sale – so remember your pennies!
Schedule - during the evening:
Carnival night kicks off at 7.00pm so please get your spot early so you can see all the fun!
- 5.30pm All floats to be assembled by this time
- 5.45pm Judging of Floats, Push and Pull Vehicles and Adult Fancy Dress
- 6.30 pm Entertainment in the square
- 6.45pm Crowning of the carnival queen in the square followed by fireworks
- 7.00pm Procession moves off
- 8.30pm Procession returns through the square, bonfire and fireworks in Radford Park
