Christmas Gift Fair - Saturday 30th November
- Sandie Wooden (22nd Jul 2013 - 17:35:01)

On Saturday 30th November we are organising a large Christmas Gift Fair by opening up the adjoining doors of both our Brownie and Scout Halls at the Millennium Centre.

The fair is to raise money for harrisonsfund.com in the race to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. My friend and fellow organiser is another Liphook resident Jenni - Grandma to Harrison.

We shall place an event notice on the board very shortly but would like to ask for local businesses (small and big!) to come on board by taking a table or by offering something for our raffle or silent auction.

We are sending out regular press releases to all media and are looking for radio and newspaper coverage. Especially if we can get one of the charity celebrities on board.

Please contact Sandie on 07770 667576 if you would like to get involved!

Hi

We may be interested in a stall at this market, could you possibly post some more details on cost of a table and times please?

Thank you

Natalie

Liphook’s Christmas Gift Fair is now a stallholder sell-out, and will be bursting at the seams with over 30 stalls featuring a fabulous range of Christmas gift ideas for all the family.

We have everything from ladies scarves to wooden toys, teddy bears to jewellery, children’s Christmas stockings to natural cosmetics and much more besides.

There will be face painting for the little ones and a huge Scalextric track for those boy racers that think they could beat Sebastian Vettel.

Mulled wine, real ale, coffee and tea will be for sale alongside scrumptious filled rolls and homemade cakes and with free entry as well, you just can’t go wrong. So come along to the Liphook Millennium Centre between 11am – 4pm and don’t miss out!

Sandie Wooden and Jenni Smith, both Liphook residents, are co-organising the fair and say “We’ve had an amazing response to the Gift Fair being held in the village, we believe it is the first time for many years that such an event has been staged locally”

The Liphook Christmas Gift Fair is supporting Harrison’s Fund (www.harrisonsfund.com), the Surrey-based Charity promoting and funding research into a treatment or cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Harrison, who is the grandson of fair co-organiser Jenni Smith, was diagnosed with Duchenne in 2011 and she says “Families affected by Duchenne have little time. They’re in a race against time as children generally succumb to this muscle wasting condition and die in their late teens or early twenties. There is currently no cure or treatment, and Duchenne is 100% fatal.”
