How was Carnival 2007?

From the feedback I have had, it seems that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Carnival, and thought the procession and the impressive range of floats that entered this year were first class! I would like to thank all the organizations, clubs and associations that entered this year for the enourmous amount of work that obviously went into their floats, it really is such an important event in the Liphook calendar and to date the amount raised from Saturday's efforts is just under £3,000. Importantly this money will go directly to local good causes, which makes all the hardwork worth the effort. I would like to take this opportunity to thank again all the many volunteers and of course the Carnival Committee for their enourmous efforts on Saturday.

Staging the Carnival costs many thousands of pounds and all of this money has to be raised throughout the year through the numerous fund raising activities that we stage. I cannot stress enough that we need your support at these events, as well as on Carnival Day, so would really urge you to come along and see what fun you can have whilst making money for the Carnival Fund.

Keep an eye on this web site for details of other fund raising events and of course details on the Carnival itself.
